Even though Come Paint with Me is full, we’d like to encourage you to attend Second Saturday for the rest of the fun and festivities. Second Saturdays is a new monthly gathering in downtown Apalachicola that takes place the second Saturday of each month. Shops and galleries are open late, restaurants feature specials and children's activities and live music on the dock at Riverfront Park start at 8 p.m.

The attraction of seeing a live artist at work, coupled with the diverse pieces in The Green Door, keeps a steady stream of guests coming in – and Amy Friedman willing to work under scrutiny. “It’s hard,” she admits, “putting yourself out there with your artwork.” It’s also an enormous part of the appeal of her studio and store.
